Some Thoughts on the Missional Cluetrain

My Best friend sent me these comments, I think he has hit it on the head, what do you think?

"The cluetrain manifesto. I love the sample you included. His description gave me a thought. It sounds like the church is a huge syringe, the cure to the worlds ailments. But, we cannot leave the security of the hospital to inoculate you, you have to come to us, for fear of becoming infected by you. You know where we are, so if you want to get better, you come to us--you know where we are.

That's the message I get when I talk to some people from other churches and how they view being missional. They are too afraid of having their "reputation" tarnished to fraternize with such dirty, I mean lost people. After all, what would the rest of the congregation think if I actually hung out with pre-saved people?! Or if I showed the love of Christ in a bar (or in a poker tournament)?!"

I think it's safe to say that somewhere along the way, we really lost track of what the Gospel really is.

Great thoughts--thanks for posting them.
