I was a good kid growing up. Attended Sunday School every week, I even learned all the songs!
The other day in the shower I was singing one of those Sunday School Songs:

This got me to thinking…….. if I were to write this song today and teach it to my teenagers what would the song say? So here’s my new version.
Be missional every day!

and driving on the highway!
wal-mart and McDonalds, the task is up to YOU!

MJ, in Exiles by Michael Frost he talks of how we need to sing new songs. Now that we are Exiles in a post Christendom world, so many of the old songs don't make sense. I think that there is so much more that we can do here. Lets hope we get a bunch of missional minded song writers coming along soon.
